Problem Too simple or too complex

Email tools are either too simple to scale or too complex for everyday users. MailDrip needed to sit in the middle.

Solution Scalable simplicity

I redesigned the dashboard and designed the email builder, campaign, contact and instant email flows, keeping them guided and clean as features grew.

Result Clients won and kept

Easier sending and campaign creation helped Charisol close and retain several clients.

Context

Powerful tools without enterprise friction.

MailDrip is an email marketing platform that helps businesses create, send and manage email campaigns without complexity. It was designed for small and growing businesses, creators and personal brands that need powerful tools but not enterprise-level friction.

I joined the project as a product design intern. About a year and a half later I became lead designer at Charisol and led MailDrip's continued improvement, designing entirely new flows and experiences across most of the product.

Challenge

Email tools are either too simple to scale or too complex for everyday users.

MailDrip needed to sit in the middle.

  • Supporting both beginners and growing teams
  • Designing for repeated, long-term use
  • Making powerful features feel approachable
  • Avoiding clutter as features expanded

Priorities

I anchored the experience around three priorities.

  • Ease of creation. Setting up a campaign had to feel fast and guided, not technical.
  • Clear mental models. Users should always know where they are: campaigns, audiences, automations or analytics.
  • Scalable simplicity. The design had to stay clean as features and data grew.

Solution

What I designed.

  • Dashboard redesign
  • Email builder
  • Campaign flows
  • Contact flows
  • Instant email flows
  • Pricing, plans and pay-as-you-go credits

Outcome

A reliable platform for beginners and growing teams alike.

  • Faster campaign setup through guided, simplified creation flows.
  • Clearer performance visibility for every campaign.
  • Clients won and kept. The ease of sending emails and creating campaigns helped Charisol close and retain several clients.
  • A scalable foundation for future features.
